Sorority Biography:
AXO was founded in 1885, at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. They chose the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, A and Ω, because they were forming the first fraternity in the school of music and thought it might be the last. "Kai" (later changed to Chi) was also added to form "the beginning and the end". The symbol of the Grecian Lyre represents their musical background and their official flower is a red carnation. Their philanthropy is domestic violence awareness, prevention and education. Find out more at alphachiomega.org.
